Project X: Starting my Village!!!

I finally decided to throw myself in the most important modeling project of my career. The pictures you see are attached to my personal sketchup of what I will create ... In this first phase, I limited myself to simulate the first volumes to try to put on paper what turns me on the head.
This is a quite embryonic stage, I already know that this project will undergo a lot of changes with the progress of the work.

What you see in the picture are the first 4 panels 60x60.

Panel 1: Well, very intuitive! In this panel we have a lighthouse tower built on a rocky outcrop and connected by a bridge to the mainland ... Now you see the Manorhouse's pieces, but these will be replaced with scratchbuilt pieces on theme with the rest of the village. There is also a sort of drainage channel ... The channels will be a feature for the village; Canals and drains that appear here and there and let you imagine that there is another world underground.

Panel 2: The Dock ... Near the warehouse there will be other buildings that I already have in mind, a sort of port area with winch, warehouses, a customs office and a small structure dedicated to the garrison.

Panel 3: Here I am still undecided. I am inclined to increase the level and put to the extreme left a perched building dedicated to a cult (the alternative would be a small fortification). Here I would like to put a bit of vegetation to break the "urbanity" of the table.

Panel 4: Here is the heart of the village ... the central square, to which I will add 3 more buildings ... I guess an inn, a government building and a building dedicated to the trade ... we'll see then.

Estimate? I think a year or so ... probably more abundant ... hopefully not too short, but ... we'll see!

IMPORTANT: You are all invited to join the competition to find a worthy name for this small port ... Give me a hand. I have thought for a name for several weeks but I have not found anything epic :-)

Italian way

Ho finalmente deciso di gettarmi nel progetto modellistico più importante della mia carriera Le foto che vedete allegate sono il mio personalissimo sketchup di quello che andrò con il tempo a creare... Per ora mi sono limitato a simulare i primi volumi per provare a mettere nero su bianco quello che mi ruota in testa.
La fase è decisamente embrionale e so già che subirà moltissime modifiche con l'avanzare dei lavori.

Quello che vedete sono i primi 4 pannelli 60x60, il progetto ne prevede altri 2 uguali e alcune aggiunte tipo 60x30.

Pannello 1: Beh molto intuitivo... in questo pannello prevedo una sorta di torre faro costruita su un affioramento roccioso e collegata da un ponte alla terra ferma... Ora vedete i pezzi Manorhouse ma sarà tutto autocostruito e a tema. E presente anche una sorta di canale di scolo, che accorcerò... Diciamo che questo sarà un po' il tema caratteristico del villaggio, con canali e tombini che compaiono qui e la e che lasciano immaginare un altro mondo sotterraneo.

Pannello 2: La Darsena... Affiancherò al magazzino altri edifici che ho già i mente, una sorta di zona portuale con argano, depositi, un ufficio doganale e una piccola struttura dedicata alla guarnigione.

Pannello 3: Qui sono ancora indeciso... Per ora propendo per un ulteriore e importante aumento di livello per andare a mettere nell'estremo angolo a sx un edificio arroccato dedicato al culto (l'alternativa potrebbe essere una piccola fortificazione)... qui vorrei anche mettere un po' di vegetazione per spezzare "l'urbanità" del tavolo.

Pannello 4: Diciamo il cuore del villaggio... la piazza centrale a cui si aggiungeranno altri 2/3 edifici... Nella mia testa immagino una locanda, un edificio governativo e un edificio dedicato al commercio... vedremo insomma.

Il tutto sarà condito da scale (ho intenzione di variare ulteriormente i livelli), camminamenti, strade ecc ecc.

Stima? Credo un annetto abbondante... probabilmente di più... speriamo non troppo... vedremo insomma! Ah... è aperto il concorso per trovare un nome degno a questo piccolo porto... Datemi una mano perché ci penso da settimane e non mi viene in mente niente di degno
